This is an amazing vintage brooch and earring set by Arancas.
The centre piece of the beautiful brooch is a honey-mustard coloured glass stone sprinkled with golden swirls. It is surrounded by small golden glass pearls, then a circle of four over-lapping rhinestones sprays -- like light golden petals. The shape of this brooch is quite original.
The earrings have the same honey-mustard coloured glass tone, but with a slight magical reflect of lavender in shifting light. They look spectacular when worn.
Both are set in gold toned metal and are in great vintage condition.
The designer for Arcansas, Elizabeth Reimer, was one of Australia's groundbreaking women in the field of costume jewellery in the 1950s. Both the brooch and the earrings have the designer's stamp on the back.
