Very rare vintage earrings, circa 1950, by French designer Henry Périchon (era Line Vautrin), an innovator of designer fantasy jewellery.
Intense blue surrounded by shell-like petals,they bring to mind flowers, shells, or even butterflies ready for flight. The centre piece of these earrings is a deep blue glass gem, square cut to create a beautiful effect in shifting light. The backs have a pretty reflective coating. They are incredibly light (4 g each earring).
